Kathleen Vella

The impact that Kathleen has made reaches right across the country from teenagers to retirees. She has inspired her team to deliver mentoring programs in 153 high schools for 2098 young people who needed support this year more than ever. Every week for six months, 2007 mentors volunteered with these young people building their resilience, their willingness to ask for help and their hope for the future. When COVID-19 struck, Kathleen and her team ensured that every single mentee continued to receive the support they needed from their mentor. Kathleen has gone above and beyond to give young people consistent role models to speak with through this pandemic, changing and saving young Australian lives
