Joanna Quilty

Joanna is the CEO of the NSW Council of Social Service (NCOSS), the peak body for the social services sector in NSW.

Throughout the COVID pandemic, Joanna and NCOSS have worked to support the community sector, which has been on the frontline supporting those most in need. NCOSS has also led important economic analysis and research, highlighting the disproportionate impacts of COVID for different groups and communities and informing the NSW Government’s response. This work has driven more funding to the sector, the targeting of resources to those doing it toughest, and a more collaborative approach between government and non-government services to support vulnerable communities in NSW.

Joanna is committed to raising the profile of the community sector and it’s essential role, to ensure it is strong, valued, adequately resourced and well placed to provide frontline services and collaborate for a fairer, more equitable NSW.
