Oliver Percovich

Oliver is a skateboarder from Melbourne. He started Skateistan on the streets of Kabul by listening to children who wanted to ride his skateboard. The children told him that they also wanted to go to school and rebuild their country. With no money to start with he managed to build a skate school in Kabul that focussed on opportunities for girls. Skateboarding grew to be the largest sport for girls in Afghanistan and Skateistan has expanded all over the world and is recognised as a leader in quality education for all.
