Kevin Mao

As the president of the Melbourne University Health Initiative (MUHI), a youth-led, not-for-profit registered charity that seeks to eliminate global educational and health disparity, Kevin has helped shape a program that delivers academic support to over 1000 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, delivered medical supplies to over ten countries, co-delivered Australia’s largest model World Health Organisation Conference and developed a chatbot that teaches rural Kenyan communities fundamental health knowledge. In addition to being a full-time medical student, Kevin is involved in numerous not-for-profit organisations, works in medical research and manages his own educational initiative.
