Fiona Cornforth

Fiona Cornforth is a Wuthathi descendent with family roots in the Torres Strait Islands. Fiona leads The Healing Foundation, providing survivors of the Stolen Generation and their families with a safe space to speak for themselves, tell their own stories, and be in charge of their own healing. In 2021 under her leadership, The Healing Foundation:
• Published the groundbreaking “Make Healing Happen" report, delivering a clear plan for real, lasting healing for Stolen Generations survivors and intergenerational healing for the future
• Formed the National Centre for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse with other national foundations – an Australian first.
